SOLID FLOOR UNDERFLOOR HEATING

A solid floor underfloor heating system will almost always be used for ground floor area, although increasingly it can now be more popular to use a beam and block type system as an intermediate floor.

We have 3 different solid floor underfloor heating systems to choose from...

Screed Over Insulation Subfloor Construction

This is one of our most popular method of fitting UFH. Used for new build projects and renovations with new screed floors.

Pre-Grooved Over Solid Subfloor Construction

At just 25mm thick these pre-grooved insulation panels are a great low build height solution for use over a solid subfloor

WE SUPPLY SIMPLE TO USE SOLID FLOOR UNDERFLOOR HEATING ROOM THERMOSTATS

We supply and fit a wide range of Heatmiser solid floor underfloor heating controls. Programmable room thermostats that are easy to use. This includes dial thermostats, programmable and wireless thermostats, WiFi thermostats and touch screen thermostats. We also have stats you can control using your smartphone from anywhere in the world.

Solid Floor Underfloor Heating - Screed Over Insulation

Screeding over a layer of insulation with your UFH pipe fitted in-between is the most popular method of installing a water based underfloor heating system.

This System Features:

  • This is one of the most popular way to install an underfloor heating system.
  • This is the perfect fitting system for maximising your overall heat output.
  • No need to make alterations to your standard floor build height.
  • This is a tried and tested installation method.
  • This type of fitting system can be used with both a sand/cement or a liquid floor screed.
  • This type of installation can be relatively quite easy when the underfloor heating pipe is fitted using our pipe staples or our pipe clip-track system.

Solid Floor Underfloor Heating - Beam And Block

A beam and block floor is an ideal option for installing a warm water based underfloor heating system, its a fantastic alternative option to timber joists on intermediate or suspended floors.

This System Features:

  • Modern, innovative construction method.
  • This type of installation can save time on site compared with cast slabs.
  • The perfect fitting system for maximising your overall heat output.
  • This type of fitting system can be used with both a sand/cement or a liquid floor screed.
  • This type of installation can be relatively quite easy when the underfloor heating pipe is fitted using our pipe staples or our pipe clip-track system.

Solid Floor Underfloor Heating - Pre-Grooved Over Solid

The pre-grooved 25mm thick insulation panels provide many advantages over other floor insulation products. Designed to make fitting underfloor heating easier and faster over an existing concrete slab.

This System Features:

  • Fast, easy to fit, a completely dry installation.
  • The foil faced insulation panels, provide an even heat distribution across your floor area.
  • We provide the standard panels with 200mm pipe spacing for normal heat sources, or 150mm pipe spacing which is used for low temperature heat sources.
  • Suitable for use over a concrete slab with a minimal increase in the build height of your floor.
  • Meets the requirements of robust detail.
  • Suitable for most applications where your heat loss doesn’t exceed 75W/m².
